Bhil Art is all about making stories come alive using dots – from animals to figures, Bhil Art explores all these motifs and that’s what your kids will be exploring in this workshop.
Originating from western & central India, Bhil is the second largest tribe present in the country residing in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Indigenous Bhil Art depicts simple images of everyday life of the tribe. Bhil art is done using Neem Twigs as brushes natural materials like leaves and flowers for colours and pigmentation. The tribes would cover their houses with beautiful decor of myth & folklore, primarily painting them on the walls using a lot of dots. Because it is a simple and bold creation, Bhil Art gained a lot of popularity in recent years.
