
Openhouse Theatre Classes for Kids
Openhouse Theatre Club is a space for empaths, learners and creative thinkers. Through an amalgamated curriculum that spans across theoretical and practical knowledge of theatrical concepts, students learn to build confidence and step outside their comfort zone, in order to easily overcome fear and challenges in the way of their growth.
Beginner level (Months 1 – 6)
Acting · Improvisation · Storytelling · Scriptwriting
On completion of Level 1, students will be able to not only write their own scripts and stories but also have the basics of understanding how to perform them to perfection. They will work on developing their style, through spontaneous acting taught through improvisation and take inspiration from actors of the past to understand the various techniques of delivering an impactful performance.
Intermediate Level (Months 6 – 12)
Musicals · Film Acting · Screenplay Writing · Stage Basics & Performances
On completion of Level 2, students will be able to optimise their script writing skills and be equipped with the skills to write specific genres of script. They will also be acquainted with the basics of stage performance.
Advanced Level (Months 12+)
Playwriting & Direction · Physical Theatre · Design Aspects · History, Theory & Criticism
On completion of Level 3, students will be able to create a holistic theatre experience for their audience by using theory of theatre with enhanced body language for performance delivery.
By the end of three months, students will also begin to participate in showcases and performances.
Certification: Certificates are awarded to all students who successfully complete two showcases within 6 months with above 85% attendance for their regular classes and then move on to the next level.
