Openhouse Speech & Drama Classes for Kids
We all grow up listening to our favourite stories. And those are the stories we tell our children. But what if our kids are not just listeners, but storytellers? How wonderful it would be to hear their version of the tale? Speech & Drama is a space for children to learn and develop their skills to imagine their stories, create their characters and even be who they want to be. Openhouse Speech & Drama Classes for Kids are designed to explore speaking and oratory skills, instil confidence and delve deeper into theatre to be a captive storyteller.
Beginner level (Months 1 – 6)
Narration & Perception · Enactment · Comprehension & Renarration · Story Delivery
On completion of Level 1, students would have developed an interest towards creative visualisation. They will be able to not only comprehend stories and scenes but also create their own recreations of the same, and will have a basic understanding of delivery and reenacting scenes and characters.
Intermediate Level (Months 6 – 12)
Building A Story · Conduct & Presentation · Stage Performances · Speech & Communication
On completion of Level 2, students will be able to understand the basic techniques to perform scenes and develop their own renditions of a character. They will receive basic training on stage performance and speech, making them confident of performing or communicating in front of people.
Advanced Level (Months 12+)
Expression · Body Language · Prop Making · Solo Performance
On completion of Level 3, students will be able to emote themselves expressively, through body language, expressions and their stories. They will also learn the basics of prop making and then performing solo!
By the end of three months, students will also begin to participate in showcases and performances.
Certification: Certificates are awarded to all students who successfully complete two showcases within 6 months with above 85% attendance for their regular classes and then move on to the next level.
