Openhouse Robotics Club for Kids
Openhouse Robotics Club is a space for students to fuel their curiosity by building, innovating, tinkering with ideas, hardware and software from scratch. Through an amalgamated curriculum that combines the STEM theories, activities and fun, the students will gain practical knowledge of building projects in the robotics domain while learning about electrical circuits, motors, sensors, motion and much more. Through practical hands-on sessions, the students will gain critical thinking and problem-solving skills while building confidence and pushing themselves beyond their comfort zone.
Beginner level (Months 1 – 6)
Electronics · Mechanics · Coding · Prototyping
On completion of Level 1, students will be able to build their own mini electric products, design their own basic digital tools such as websites as well as repair broken instruments through their knowledge in mechanics. They will be equipped with the knowledge to not only follow the defined paths of engineering but also develop their mindset to create their own through design thinking and prototyping.
Intermediate Level (Months 6 – 12)
Lego Robotics · Intermediate Mechanics · Intermediate Electronics · Coding With Scratch
On completion of Level 2, students will be able to advance into more intensive creations such as applications, mechanical designs and will develop a strong mindset towards creating their own products to solve problems.
Advanced Level (Months 12+)
Advanced Lego Robotics · Advanced Mechanics · Advanced Electronics · Coding With Python
On completion of Level 3, students will be able to choose their unique paths and styles to develop and create technical solutions. Through basic knowledge gained in Python and Scratch, students will have developed a strong mindset of coding, robotics and mechanics.
By the end of three months, students will also begin to participate in showcases and performances.
Certification: Certificates are awarded to all students who successfully complete two showcases within 6 months with above 85% attendance for their regular classes and then move on to the next level.
