Openhouse Guitar Classes for Kids

For all those who want to explore the world of guitar, enhance their musical ear and bring their performances to the stage, check out Openhouse Guitar Classes for Kids. At Openhouse, they help students develop their interests in music while learning more about the theory and practice of music, to help develop their confidence and stage presence.

Beginner level (Months 1 – 6)

Technical Work · Notes & Harmony · Musicality · Performance

On completion of Level 1, students will get a strong foundation in guitar playing. They will learn simple, yet important aspects like postures to hold a guitar, tuning, picking and more. They will be able to play/perform three songs of different genres by the end of level 1.

Intermediate Level (Months 6 – 12)

Techniques & Concepts · Scales & Improvisation · Advanced Chords · Exercises

On completion of Level 2, students will be getting into a deeper understanding of various techniques involved, they will learn variations of scales and be at the stage to improvise. By the end of level 2, Students will be able to play advanced songs with different chord combinations.

Advanced Level (Months 12+)

Cutting Edge Guitar Techniques · Rock · Blues · Country Music

On completion of Level 3, a student will become a complete performer ready for gigs with knowledge of cutting edge guitar techniques and different genres of music.

By the end of three months, students will also begin to participate in showcases and performances.

Certification: Certificates are awarded to all students who successfully complete two showcases within 6 months with above 85% attendance for their regular classes and then move on to the next level.
