2. Mount Carmel Central School
One of the country’s most famous colleges, Mount Carmel College, has opened its own school. Envisioned as an educational institution that can see children continue their studies with Carmel all the way up to the postgraduate degree, the Mount Carmel Central School will start with pre-nursery and have classes up to grade 5 for its first year.
This year, admissions are closed already but if you are hunting for schools next year, then check Mount Carmel out! The school will presently follow the State syllabus but will later apply for a CBSE board affiliation. It will be a girls’ school, although boys can enrol for the pre-primary section.

4. The Garden Childcare, HSR Layout
With Papagoya and Kunskapsskolan already bringing Norway and Sweden into Bangalore’s interesting mix of pedagogies, the Garden Childcare is founded on the Pikler approach from Hungary. 5. Curiosity Centre, Electronic City
Located in HSR, BTM, Electronic City Phase 1, Ananth Nagar and Suryanagar Phase 1. Curiosity Centre is the preschool wing of Edify in Electronic City and also offers day care. 6. Citizens Gurukul, Prashant Layout
With many mainstream private schools hiking their fees by 10% to 22% every year, citizens in and around Whitefield decided to take some action and set up a trust. The Citizens Gurukul trust was formed with 14 parents and ordinary citizens, people who wanted a more democratic system of running a school. Citizens Gurukul has already finalized land in Prashant Layout near Hope Farm Signal and admissions for the year 2017-2018 are already full, thanks to the immense backing that this wonderful new concept has received.
What makes Citizens Gurukul unique? The parents will run the school. The trust won’t interfere in the working of the school and the model is a non-profit one entirely. 7. Repton, Whitefield
A famous UK school established in 1557, Repton has schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jordon and will now open in Whitefield in Bangalore, with a 34 acre campus. Repton International in Bangalore offers a strong academic foundation, preparing children for universities abroad. Bangalore will have its first Swedish school in 2017! Kunskapsskolan is a Swedish word that name means “The Knowledge School” in English – a school where knowledge and learning is foremost.
