IMEM Online Mridangam Classes
Mridanga is a percussion instrument that is said to have been played by Lord Nandi when Lord Shiva performed the dance of rhythm or Tandava. At the IME learning centre classes, your kids will now get an opportunity to learn the very same instrument! The Mridangam classes follow the diploma course structured by IME. This diploma course is a 5-year course which covers a wide repertoire starting from the basics of Mridangam to advanced techniques. The students will be trained diligently, with regular feedback sessions by noted senior musicians, and ultimately perform in the annual showcase in front of the best of musicians in the music field. By the end of the diploma course, your kids will be able to play different Talas, Poly Rhythm concept, accompanying compositions and improvisation techniques.
Classes are held twice a week, in two batches (Tuesday and Thursday 5 pm onwards)
