GSP Children’s Literature, Art and Music Festival

Give wings to your children’s creative and artistic skills through this online event – The Get Set Parent with Pallavi Children’s Literature, Art and Music Festival. Organized in association with Vishwarang, this event will let the little artists learn the tricks of the trade from India’s best literary and creative personalities, including Ruskin Bond, Anand Neelakantan, Ashok Rajagopalan, Nandini Nayar more. With art appreciation sessions, puppet making workshops, music concerts, storytelling sessions, theatre workshops and more, the festival is going to be an 8-day treat for your little ones.

22nd November

  • 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Inaugural Session in conversation with celebrated author Ruskin Bond (Session with Dr. Pallavi Rao Chaturvedi, Founder, Get Set Parent)
  • 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm: Puppet Show (by the Puppet Art Theatre Company)  for kids 4-12 yrs

23rd November

  • 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: French Painting Appreciation Workshop: Claude Monet (by Akanksha Goenka from Artlinks)
  • 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm: Storytelling by Janaki Sabesh and In Conversation With: Priya Narayanan Priyanka Narayanan on Srinivas Ramanujam (Session with Dr. Pallavi Rao Chaturvedi)  for kids 7-12 yrs

24th November

  • 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Indian Art Appreciation Workshop: Warli Art (by Salomi Parekh from Arty Bits for kids 5-12 yrs
  • 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm: Amar Chitra Katha Story Academy: Storytelling from Amar Chitra Katha Junior collection and a fun activity based on the story theme (by: Prateek Dhruva, Head, ACK Learn)

25th November

  • 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm: Storytelling by Kathalaya for kids 4-7 yrs
  • 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Doodle Workshop: Make Your Own Story Book (with Debasmita Dasgupta)
  • 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm: Puppet Creation Workshop

26th November

  • 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm: Storytelling by Kathalaya for kids 4-7 yrs
  • 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: In Conversation With: Preeti Vyas (CEO, Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd.) about the importance of reading Indian stories and relevance of mythology today (Session with Dr. Pallavi Rao Chaturvedi)
  • 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm: Shadow Puppet Show by Tholpavakoothu and Puppet Centre

27th November

  • 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm: Indian Art Appreciation Workshop: Madhubani Art (by Salomi Parekh from Arty Bits)
  • 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Tinkle Comic Workshop: Learn to draw your favourite Tinkle Toon ‘Suppandi’ and make comic strip with Suppandi! (by Savio Mascarenhas, Group Art Director, Amar Chitra Katha)
