STEAM is now gaining national focus and there is a renewed energy for the subjects to gain momentum. LIFE’s STEAM Experience Lab along with GyanPro has lots to offer for students and the community at large.
Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue? What color do we get when we mix all seven colors of a rainbow? Have you ever seen a whole person inside a bubble? You will learn all of these and more at the LIFE’s STEAM Experience Lab.
So, what’s in store?
This is a 2-day conference that brings together leading researchers, educators, health scientists, parents and other experts from across the country. The conference will focus on key issues with a common goal to increase the participation of all students and the wider community in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM). The first day will equip teachers to create amazing experiences. The interactive learning session will give teachers the essential skills that are guaranteed to make STEAM more exciting and meaningful.
Children and parents will be mesmerised!
The S.T.E.A.M Experience Labs on day two in collaboration with GyanPro is meant for students and parents to get a hands-on experience of S.T.E.A.M.
3 Interactive Pavilions to indulge in Spectacular Experiments
- The Light Pavilion aims to answer questions like: Why the sky is blue? What are the principles behind the working of the Telescope and Optical Fibres? How do diamonds sparkle so brightly? Children will get to play with shadows and witness the brilliance of light when viewed through the chemiluminescence, fluorescence and phosphorescence optical illusion experiments.
- At the Sound Pavilion don’t just listen to music, see it! You have to see it to believe it! Make fire dance to your tunes on a Rubens Tube, watch how a tuning fork behaves when it comes in contact with water, with Oscilloscope and when placed under a strobing light.
- The Bubble Pavilion will burst your bubble about so many things! Boo Bubble, Giant Bubbles, Bubble inside a Bubble, Snake Bubble, Smoky Bubble and so much more!
Gallery Walk of Ancient Technologies
At the fascinating gallery walk, learn about ancient technologies. What did the ancient Indians know about rainbow formation and the optic lens? Is it right that the Wright brothers discovered the aircraft? Learn about the Heliocentric model and Newton’s rediscovery of gravity!
Spellbinding Science Show
This 45-minute show will leave you mesmerised! The purpose is to demonstrate that learning can be more meaningful when all the subjects are taught in an integrated manner with a hands on approach. Indulge in spectacular experiments and make new discoveries at these intriguing and enthralling zones!
STEAM is quickly gaining national focus and there is a growing need for the subjects to gain momentum among students. The only way to do that is to ensure children get excited about science in school itself. This conference gives teachers, parents and students the right skills to enjoy the subjects and get curious to learn more!
